James Yanchuk grew up in Vancouver and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of British Columbia in 2016. He obtained his BCIT Critical Care Certificate in 2018.  He spent the majority of his 7-year career as a registered nurse at St. Paul’s Hospital working in cardiac medicine.

In 2022, James obtained his Master of Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Victoria. He spent the first year of his Nurse Practitioner career working in primary and urgent care, as well as completing a 6-month residency which included specializations in pediatrics, geriatrics, family medicine, and urgent care. He is now opening his own practice at Fraser Street Medical.

James looks forward to building a full-service family practice in the Fraser community. He aims to provide patient and family-centered care, focusing on empowering patients to achieve their health goals. He is committed to providing care in a respectful and culturally sensitive manner. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his family.
